| Abstract | A check-list of the higher marine fungi collected in Belize (Central America) includes 46 taxa (37 species orvarieties of ascomycetes, 2 basidiomycetes, 7 deuteromycetes). Belizeana tuberculata Kohlm. et Volkm. gen.et sp. nov. from intertidal wood of Laguncularia racemosa Gaertner (Atlantic Ocean, Belize; Pacific Ocean,New South Wales, Australia), and Swampomyces armeniacus Kohlm. et Volkm. gen. et sp. nov. from wood of Rhizophora mangle L. (Atlantic Ocean, Belize) and R. mucronata Lam. (Indian Ocean, Aldabra) ared described. |
