Descriptions and remarks
Diagnosis (revised): parallel parts of the U connected by a spreite, individual apertures drop-shaped at surface, cross-section long-oval at deeper levels, passive fill. (Original diagnosis [translated]: u-shaped spreite constructions with a tube diameter of 3–5 mm, at an average notch length of 8–15 mm. Depth of U-constructions up to 7 mm. The “specific” separation from the trace fossil Asthenopodichnium xylobiontum is proposed here in accordance with the nomenclature of fossil traces, without necessarily implying a specific separation in a biological sense.)
