Descriptions and remarks

Diagnosis. A cylindrical, straight or slightly curved tunnel, circular in section, bored into a calcareous substrate, for instance a shell, parallel and close to the surface. The tunnel is linked to the surface by short, perpendicular apertural canals, thinner than the main tunnel. The apertures are round.
